Anti-theft solutions from FuelDefend
FuelDefend Global supplies a variety of products to help protect vehicles against fuel theft, including the Hercules anti-siphon product.
The floating ball device is designed with a FlexiFlow System, allowing the fuel filler nozzle to go from a vertical filling position for articulated vehicles to 30 degrees for rigid body vehicles, whilst maintaining a flow rate of 110 L/min without splashback or cut-off utilising the Advanced Fuel Dissipator. The product includes a six-year guarantee.
“Our technical team reviewed all floating ball/valve devices on the market and obtained feedback from customers for all,” said FuelDefend.

It took over two years of testing, development and prototypes before we gave it to a select base of customers to live test on working fleets. We had a winning design; crucially, it could not be siphoned as other floating ball devices.”
Also available is the S-Cap smart fuel cap, a key-lockable cap that replaces the existing double cap.
S-Cap enables remote monitoring via GPS and Bluetooth.
The smart fuel cap connects to a receiver mounted near the fuse panel inside the cabin.
The fuel cap can trigger a fuel theft alarm via an optional external 90db siren or vehicle warning system. The cap will also detect when the cap is opened, closed or tampered with via text or e-mail, and with the use of an additional device can trigger the vehicle’s alarm, CCTV, lights or horn when tampered with.
The system is compatible with mechanical fuel safety devices, and assembly is said to be quick and easy without wiring. A long-lasting Li-ion battery does not need charging, and the product is compatible with lowbed trailers thanks to the low product height.
Further cited benefits include strong sealing with FPM seal structure, engineering polymer suitable for diesel fuel systems, 5-lamella locking system, and an undetachable structure with filter key, thanks to a patented design that can rotate unlimitedly when locked.
