Industrial and commercial cleaning equipment specialist MAC International made its debut at the Commercial Vehicle Show in April to promote its product portfolio, which includes a wide range of mobile and static diesel- and electrically-heated industrial pressure washers, floor scrubber driers and floor sweepers.

At the event, MAC International offered free demonstrations and one-week trials of its equipment, and exhibited its diesel and zero-emission pressure washers and accessories.

The company recently expanded the zero-emission range after a reported 315 per cent growth in sales over a four-year period.

The Darlington-headquartered business has invested heavily in the research and development of its MAC Zero Emission range, has created a new manufacturing line and expanded its headcount by eight.

Peter Gibson, the MP for Darlington, recently toured the facility to view the zero-emission range, which accounts for 40 per cent of the company’s static hot pressure washer sales.

On the announcement of the range expansion, Simon Ruck, managing director of MAC International, said: “Electrically heated pressure washers never used to be particularly good or efficient, which is why people relied on traditional diesel heated machines.

“This is why we have invested heavily in the research and development of our MAC Zero Emission hot pressure washer range, which requires no diesel to heat the water, completely removing fuel emissions entirely without compromising on quality or performance.

“We have built a new manufacturing line in our Darlington factory. This has culminated in recruiting a new team of engineers and manufacturing staff.

“We are confident that the growth of our business in the next ten years will be centred around our world class emission free pressure washer range, as companies look for green, diesel free alternatives.”

Peter Gibson MP commented: “It is important that we have companies creating emission-free carbon neutral products because as we go through the energy transition, consumers want to be addressing those issues.”

Andrew Scott, sales director at MAC International, said prior to the CV Show that he expected the event to expose the company to new potential customers, as well as providing an opportunity to engage with industry professionals and showcase innovative products.

“The show provides an unparalleled platform for us to demonstrate our commitment to delivering high-quality cleaning solutions tailored to the unique needs of the transport and logistics sector,” he added.

The business recently attained two internationally recognised certifications following an external audit – ISO 14001 environmental management and ISO 45001 health and safety management.
