Renault Trucks lights up Europe with Diamond Echo
Renault Trucks set out on a European tour last month with a unique 100 per cent electric truck.
The vehicle, a Renault Trucks E-Tech T called Diamond Echo, features a unique electroluminescent design.
It set off on 11 April from the Bourg-en-Bresse plant in France where it was manufactured, and is to tour until July.
It is due to travel more than 10,000 kilometres across seven countries including the UK, making over 60 stops to meet the transport community, demonstrate the operational reality of electric mobility and promote the Renault Trucks E-Tech range.
The result of a collaboration with drivers and design and paint specialists, the Diamond Echo truck reveals itself in the dark. Based on Lumilor technology, the paint, applied by Demon Paint, glows when subjected to an electrical stimulus.
The 18-day UK leg of the roadshow commenced on 23 April in Newcastle, with stops scheduled from Scotland to the South Coast including Truckfest Lincoln Showground on 4-5 May.
