Cold Chain Hub 2024, the dedicated event for the cold storage and distribution sector, will take place at the NEC Birmingham on 9-10 October, and already counts a variety of key suppliers to the temperature-controlled transport sector amongst its exhibitors.

This will be the first time since 1981 that the established event – supported by the Road Haulage Association and organised by the team behind TCS&D, the magazine for the temperature-controlled supply chain – will be held at the NEC.

With a focus on sustainability, the exhibition and conference will showcase innovation across the cold supply chain, says TCS&D.

“Exhibitor bookings and early visitor registrations show great support for the move,” said Martyn Cogan, event director.

“The NEC enjoys a strategic and easily accessible location.”

As well as a new venue – Hall 17 at the NEC – the event has already attracted first-time exhibitors including Acrobat Vehicle Rental, Fischer Panda, FridgeXpress, Seymour Manufacturing International, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Transport Europe GmbH, RTS/Lamberet, Tiger Trailers, Principal Logistics Technologies, Rack Collapse Prevention and Building Automation Products Inc.

Cold Chain Hub 2024 will showcase a diverse range of solutions from cold store constructors, temperature-controlled operators and rental/contract hire specialists, as well as suppliers of protective clothing, temperature-monitoring solutions and refrigerated vehicles. An outside area will feature the latest innovations in portable cold stores and refrigerated trailers, rigids and panel vans, including electric vehicles.

The event will also feature a free-to-attend conference across both days, say organisers, promising insightful presentations from a great line-up of speakers.

“There will be two conference streams,” explained Martyn Cogan.

“One will focus on Refrigerated Transport and will be sponsored by Petit Forestier. The other will turn the spotlight on Cold Storage.”

TCS&D magazine will also host the annual TCS&D Awards – now in their eleventh year and with a new headline sponsor, Sunswap. The TCS&D Awards Dinner, which celebrates innovation and excellence in the cold chain in a variety of categories, will take place on Wednesday 9 October at the National Motorcycle Museum, close to the NEC. This year’s pre-dinner drinks reception will be sponsored by Dawsongroup Truck and Trailer to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary.

“The annual TCS&D Awards Dinner is always a brilliant occasion for celebrating success in the cold supply chain and networking with industry peers,” Martyn Cogan added.

The list of exhibitors for Cold Chain Hub 2024 is now live on the website – via which further prospective exhibitors, or those wishing to attend the TCS&D Awards, can also contact the team.
