Vehicle CCTV solutions specialist Fastview360 offers a solution for the forthcoming Progressive Safe System (PSS) – introduced by Transport for London (TfL) as part of changes to the Direct Vision Standard (DVS) – as part its product portfolio.

“We are proud to be able to provide the Fastview360 PSS solution – compatible as an upgrade to existing kits or as a full standalone system,” said the company.

“The moving off information system (MOIS) is a part of the spec where we entwine video analytic technologies with audible and visual warning systems – providing not just the visual warning on the in-cab monitor but also the vulnerable road user (VRU) display positioned close to the driver to alert of the exact location of VRUs around the vehicle without searching in the monitor screens.

“The blind spot information system (BSIS) ensures that the nearside blind spots are uncovered and reported direct to the operator. Again using audible alerts and integrating with the in-cab monitor and VRU display, the operator is alerted and aware without additional confusion within the cab.”

The company added: “The testing phases we have undertaken, both internally and via third-party independent testing of the Fastview360 PSS system, have proven that the system is fully compliant with the TfL PSS specifications.

“Fastview360 have worked with drivers to design the system with drivers in mind, so the system ensures VRU safety is a driver aid that drivers recommend.

“We offer a comprehensive support network and subscription package ensuing that your needs are met and reducing any disruptions to your operations.”
