Brandfixx highlights modular livery benefits
Graphics provider Brandfixx has outlined the advantages of its modular CV branding offering in terms of efficiency and sustainability.
“When it comes to vehicle branding, the choices you have vary from basic and ‘old school’ to expensive and time-consuming,” said the company.
“You’re either choosing cut text or a small logo which can be applied by someone with little experience, or at the other end of the scale you have a full coverage wrap which costs the earth, and requires several days’ worth of skilled labour per vehicle to complete.”
Brandfixx says its modular vehicle branding method provides full coverage of the vehicle, without the expense of a wrap and the lengthy application time.
“The Brandfixx process starts by taking a 3D scan of the vehicle, which is then processed through several variations of software to create a livery ‘kit’ which can be fitted in a matter of hours, rather than days,” said the company.
“The kit consists of vinyl material which is placed within every panel, meaning time is saved in not having to remove door handles, indicators, bumper trims etc.
“To give an example, an LWB Ford Transit Custom can be completely branded in as little as four hours, which means fleets can be converted around 75 per cent faster than a traditional wrap method whilst giving the same coverage.
“Not only this, due to the modular nature of the kit should any damage occur, or requirement for a change of branding information, you’re able to order replacement panels through our ‘My Garage’ system which saves the cost of a re-wrap or mismatched colours, which is a huge advantage to large fleets.
“The other added benefit is that due to the material sitting 3mm within the panel edge, failure of a Brandfixx kit is almost unheard of.”
The company also claims to offer up to 73 per cent reduction in carbon emissions over a traditional wrap method, backed by a government granted carbon mapping summary using DEFRA metrics.
“The key lies in the process, not the actual material itself,” said Brandfixx.
“Many wrap companies will claim sustainability due to the fact they recycle the backing paper, when in actual fact the requirement to use several heat guns which are permanently on during the application process is what’s causing around 73 per cent of the CO2 emission problem, not the recyclability of the material itself.
“Due to the modular nature of the Brandfixx kit, we have no need for heat guns. To add to that, we can also offer PVC-free materials, meaning complete process and material sustainability.”
The company continued: “With the cost of living and the world getting increasingly expensive with gas and electricity now being considered a luxury rather than a necessity, people are cutting costs wherever possible.
“On top of the functional benefits to the Brandfixx product, due to the fact we create a kit and ‘nest’ the pieces together during the printing process, we save around 40 per cent of waste material, which, alongside the reduced labour rate because it’s a de-skilled, faster process, means we on average are around a third of the cost of a wrap alternative.
“This either brings your full coverage costing down substantially, or gives you the option of full coverage where previously you might have opted for a small logo here and there due to cost.”
