Roadlink International’s suspension portfolio for commercial vehicles includes the Al-Ko shock absorber range.

“Al-Ko develops and manufactures a wide range of shock absorbers in areas as diverse as automotive, sports suspensions, caravans, railways and industrial applications – but most importantly for Roadlink and its customers, trucks, trailers and buses,” said Roadlink.

“As the European leader in the manufacture of original equipment trailer shock absorbers, Al-Ko produces more than 3,500 units per day and uses the same manufacturing processes, standards and rules for the aftermarket as they do for their growing number of original equipment business partners…

“50 per cent of Europe’s air suspended trailer axles now have Al-Ko shock absorbers fitted as original equipment.”

Cited benefits include very sturdy and virtually unbreakable construction; a special sealing system which minimises that chance of oil leaks and therefore greatly extends service life of the shock absorber; PTFE piston rings which help maintain the thermo stability of the oil; and a durable plastic outer dust cover.

“A unique Al-Ko high performance shock absorber oil is the result of long term laboratory testing which copes with great changes in temperature and density,” added Roadlink.

The company offers customers in the UK and Ireland a three-year warranty for Al-Ko shock absorbers.

“With references from Al-Ko’s CV range available to cross refer on TecDoc, and of course on the new Roadlink online catalogue, finding the part required need couldn’t be easier,” the firm added.

Roadlink also highlighted its Weweler leaf spring range.

“To the naked eye, most leaf springs look more or less the same. It is only when you study the materials from which they are made and the production process used in their manufacture, that the difference becomes apparent,” it said.

“Weweler leaf springs are redesigned to suit specific vehicle models and specific operational areas. This means that even if another spring looks the same, there is a risk that it will offer poorer comfort, payload, driveability and last but not least, lifetime.”

Claimed benefits include fast installation owing to strict dimensional precision as per OE specifications, and thorough surface treatment for immense resistance to corrosion.

“Weweler springs are equipped with high quality silent blocs and accessories,” said Roadlink.

“The silent blocs ensure more comfort, improved road-holding and guarantee increased service life.

“The use of new alloys in high quality steel, a ‘Free Bending Hardening’ method (FBH), combined with high stress peening, brings Weweler springs to one of the highest levels of endurance.

“With a huge stock range together with all the required U-Bolts and fittings at our central distribution centre, Roadlink has the widest range of OE quality road springs anywhere in the UK.”

All popular references are held in stock and the entire range is accessible, says Roadlink. Next day delivery options are available, as well as a VOR service if required.

The company offers an online easy cross reference tool with 70,000 cross references loaded.
