BPW CargoMaster has load security covered

BPW Limited has highlighted the advantages of its load securing strap lift system, BPW CargoMaster, which it says is compliant with DVSA load securing guidelines and minimises the risk of damage to goods.

“The DVSA stresses that loads must be properly secured as it is critical for road safety,” said BPW.

“A load that is not properly secured can shift while in transit, increasing the risk of instability of the trailer, dangerous collisions and road closures.”

The CargoMaster system uses conventional straps, and mesh or PVC sheets. They are suspended from the roof with robust bungee cords, attached to both side raves with a rave hook and tensioned with a manual ratchet.

“Easy to operate and cost-effective to maintain, BPW CargoMaster fully covers a load, and straps it directly to the trailer chassis,” said the firm.

“Unlike the standard strap design, the wider sheets spread tension over a broader area reducing the chance of damage or shifting of vulnerable loads.

“This versatile system can secure loads of varying shapes and sizes, and bespoke sheet designs are available to suit individual operations and customer requirements.

“A guided roller-bearing carriage runs the full length of the trailer roof and fits tightly to the top of the trailer, maximising haulage capacity and allowing the BPW CargoMaster to be smoothly pulled into position over its load.

“Intelligent swivel and clamping technology enables the straps and sheets to automatically lift back into the roof space when not in use. Here, they are kept clean, and ready for use.

“Thanks to this design, the driver no longer needs to climb onto the trailer and throw the straps over the load to secure it. Not only does this improve workplace safety by lowering the risk of injuries, but it also streamlines both the loading and unloading processes, saving valuable time.”

The BPW CargoMaster, which can be retrofitted, is suitable for single curtainsider trailers. It can also effectively secure and restrain loads on both levels of a double deck trailer, adds BPW, and is said to be highly regarded for its performance, safety features, and adaptability out on the road.
