Dialling down the heat with Dometic CoolAir RTX
Dometic’s portfolio of climate control solutions includes the CoolAir RTX range of parking coolers for trucks.
The company says it introduced the CoolAir RTX generation in two capacity versions, in response to requests from customers for parking coolers with longer runtimes, and for use in hot climates.
“The RTX 1000 with its 1200 watts capacity and up to 12 hours runtime is ideal for moderate (European) temperature zones,” said the company.
“CoolAir RTX 2000 is a genuine power pack. Generating a full 2,000 watts for up to six hours, it cools down even larger cabins in no time at all.”
Key benefits of the range highlighted by Dometic include highly efficient, low power consumption, very quiet running, and the integration of all components in a single housing, to speed up installation and avoid the need for maintenance.
Four operating modes are available – auto, eco, manual and boost – and the units have been tested in Australia and used for years at the Dakar Rally.
Further features include a turbo cooling operating mode for quick cooling. 24V and 12V variants are available, as are a variety of vehicle-specific installation kits with frame, seals, fastening material, connection cable and assembly instructions.
