Cummins launches Euclid remanufactured calliper range
Cummins Drivetrain & Braking Systems is introducing its latest line of remanufactured brake callipers under the Euclid brand.
Cummins says its advanced remanufacturing techniques ensure that each remanufactured calliper in the Euclid range meets, or exceeds, the original OEM standards for stopping power, braking distance and overall vehicle safety.
The Cummins remanufacturing process involves disassembling the callipers, cleaning and inspecting all components, replacing worn or damaged parts, and reassembling the units to original equipment (OE) equivalent specifications.
This approach allows it to deliver high-quality callipers at a lower cost versus new ones, Cummins says, providing significant savings for European fleet operators and vehicle owners.
The remanufacturing process is said to be more environmentally friendly, as it reduces the need for raw materials and minimises waste. By reusing existing components and materials, Cummins’ remanufactured brake callipers conserve natural resources and reduce the environmental impact of OE brake calliper production.
Euclid remanufactured brake callipers undergo comprehensive testing and quality control processes to ensure reliability and durability, the company adds. This includes pressure testing, leak testing, and performance testing to verify that each calliper performs optimally under various conditions.
The use of high-quality replacement parts and advanced remanufacturing techniques ensures that the Euclid callipers provide long-lasting performance and dependable braking, says Cummins.
The company highlights its use of premium materials in the remanufacturing process to ensure durability and performance. Each calliper is treated with advanced coatings to protect against corrosion and wear, and undergoes rigorous testing to ensure optimal performance and reliability. A flexible core scheme ensures ease of return.
Andy Hill, business line leader of Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems, said: “The Euclid brand has been synonymous with dependability and performance in the US market for many years.
“The introduction of new remanufactured brake callipers, under the Euclid brand, aligns with our vision of leveraging this expertise to deliver products with strong performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness to our European customers.”
He added: “Euclid remanufactured brake callipers are designed to be compatible with all major truck and trailer applications, and provide quality, cost-effective solutions throughout the lifecycle of the vehicle.”
Customers can buy Euclid remanufactured brake callipers through the Meritor distributor network. These products come with a one-year warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship.
