Kirkby Tyres rolls out Sailun EcoPoint³ in UK
Kirkby Tyres, which has been importing Sailun truck tyres into the UK and Ireland since 2011, has outlined the benefits of the manufacturer’s EcoPoint³ technology.
As a rapidly growing tyre brand, the Sailun Group has pioneered a breakthrough in tyre manufacturing with EcoPoint³, says Kirkby Tyres, the technology already having earned multiple international tyre technology awards.
“At the heart of this advancement is liquid phase mixing, in development for over ten years, a cutting-edge process that offers improved results in all three main constituent parts of the current European truck tyre label, namely rolling resistance (fuel efficiency), wet grip, and noise generation,” said the company.
“Sitting alongside this achievement is an improvement in wear resistance. This was previously near impossible to achieve, improving one value without sacrificing another.
“Sailun’s new liquid-phase technology also significantly reduces energy consumption in the manufacturing process, resulting in a reduction in CO2 footprint. The full range of EcoPoint³ and second generation Sailun truck tyres will be available from Kirkby Tyres from H2 2025.
