Parksafe aids compliance with PSS
Vehicle safety specialist Parksafe Group offers a Progressive Safe System (PSS) solution among its product portfolio.
Rigorously tested and approved by Loughborough University, the system meets the latest Transport for London (TfL) requirements, including Blind Spot Information System (BSIS) and Moving Off Information System (MOIS) standards, says the company.
“However, the Parksafe Group system is designed to do more than meet regulatory expectations. It aims to enhance driver awareness and reduce risk in real-world conditions.
“The PSS includes an advanced AI-powered camera and sensor suite that detects and interprets the presence of pedestrians and cyclists.
“There is a focus on real usability that ensures that technology supports, rather than overwhelms, the driver. Backed by a UK-wide network of professional installers and live technical support, the system can be deployed efficiently at scale.”
The solution can also be fully integrated with the Parksafe On Demand platform, which gives operators remote access to live HD video, GPS tracking, and historic footage. The platform provides valuable insights that help improve safety performance and streamline incident response.
“DVS is not just a London issue,” said Parksafe.
“As cities across the UK and Europe move toward low-emission and zero-fatality targets, similar safety standards are expected to follow. Fleets that invest in compliant technology now will position themselves ahead of the curve.”
