‘Every contour considered’ with CVW wraps
Cannock-based Creative Vehicle Wrapping Ltd (CVW) has explained how heavy investment in its facilities, team and technology is enabling it to deliver top-tier wrapping installations.
CVW’s installation unit is equipped with climate-controlled full air conditioning to maintain a consistent temperature, which is said to be crucial for optimal vinyl adhesion and longevity. The facility also features a hard-wearing, dust-sealed, and slip-resistant floor, creating the ideal environment for precision wrapping work.
The team has expanded significantly, with Avery Dennison-qualified wrappers who undergo regular refresher training to stay ahead of industry standards. Coupled with an in-house design studio and a dedicated customer service team, CVW delivers an end-to-end premium service.
“We’ve reinvested every penny to ensure our people have the best equipment and the ideal environment to produce the highest standards of wrapping excellence,” said Jonathan Thomas, founder and managing director. “Our customers deserve the best experience from start to finish.”
CVW is equipped to wrap everything from cars and vans to HGVs, tankers, sweepers, and refuse vehicles. The company works with major vehicle manufacturers, including Dennis Eagle and Mercedes, on high-profile demonstration vehicles such as the Olympus Midi, Duo, and Econic models.
“It takes specialist skills and knowledge to wrap a refuse truck. Every make and model is different, and the devil is in the detail,” said Jonathan.
“Every groove, seam and contour is considered to ensure a flawless execution.”
Recent major projects include the wrapping of over 200 refuse, recycling and food waste vehicles for Birmingham City Council, and a full design and wrap of an electric refuse vehicle for Wiltshire Council – a Volvo FE Low Entry Cab eRCV.
CVW emphasises its track record in wrapping road sweepers. Like refuse trucks these vehicles operate in high-traffic urban and rural areas which makes them perfect for mobile advertising, says the company – but the complexity and variety of sweepers means that specialist expertise is required to wrap them, and the team at CVW has an in-depth understanding of every make and model.
A further standout project was for YPO, one of the UK’s largest public buying organisations. To support its partnership with the NSPCC, CVW wrapped YPO’s new fleet of vans with artwork promoting the Creating Safer Childhoods initiative.
“We plan to wrap more vehicles with CVW in the future. Their wrapping skills and attention to detail are commendable,” said Graham Nicholson, production and data controller at YPO.
