Supertracker: reimagining wheel alignment

Equipment provider Supertracker says it is redefining what workshops can expect from computerised wheel alignment with its compact, tablet-controlled CCD systems.

The company’s systems are claimed to deliver new levels of efficiency, mobility and affordability, without compromising accuracy or performance.

“Originally introduced earlier this year, the STR130 Compact and STR420 Compact models were developed in response to growing demand from workshops seeking space-saving alignment solutions that support evolving vehicle types, higher throughput and stronger profitability,” said Supertracker.

“By stripping out unnecessary bulk and re-engineering key components, Supertracker has created a CCD system that fits the realities of today’s workshop environment.”

Central to the Compact CCD system is Supertracker’s newly designed UK-manufactured trolley, providing a 40 per cent reduction in volume while also prioritising accessibility and manoeuvrability.

“From the sleek curved design to ensure no sharp edges, to the robust weight, the retractable charging points and the tablet docking station, all design features are built in with real working environment in mind,” the firm said.

“In addition, staying true to one of the unique features of Supertracker wheel alignment systems, is the importance of the hangers and heads being stored together on the unit, saving valuable time removing and attaching the heads to the hangers.

“The new hanger assembly, supplied as standard draws on production efficiencies inspired by the brand’s legacy laser-hanger design, the re-engineered hanger delivers robustness, long-term accuracy and ease of use.

“Combined with optimised component sourcing and a more powerful, compact tablet platform, this approach allows Supertracker to offer its most accessible CCD systems to date, without sacrificing measurement quality or workshop performance.”

Thanks to its compact form and lightweight components, says Supertracker, technicians can use the system in any service bay; on any lift, including two-post lifts; in tight workshop areas where a traditional alignment cabinet won’t fit; and outside on a level forecourt for rapid pre-checks.

With EV adoption accelerating and service patterns shifting, workshops increasingly require alignment systems that are flexible, portable and capable of rapid throughput, says Supertracker.

Highlighted benefits of the Compact CCD models include a robust WindowsTab tablet with magnetic mount for instant access under the vehicle; a compact, cabinet-free design delivering major space savings and full mobility; 6- or 8-sensor CCD technology for precise, reliable readings on a broad vehicle range; and Bluetooth connectivity for smoother workflow and reduced setup time.

Supertracker says its signature ‘hang-on’ system means no roll-out compensation is required, there is no risk of rim damage, and fast alignment can be achieved on rims up to 27”.

The measuring head technology remains powered by Supertracker’s long-standing Italian partner, CEMB, ensuring consistent, high-accuracy CCD performance.

Andrew Bates, managing director of Supertracker, commented: “Workshops want accuracy, mobility and value without having to compromise. By refining our engineering approach and reimagining how garages can offer wheel alignment services in today’s evolving markets, we’ve created a CCD system that opens the door for many more workshops to upgrade to computerised alignment.”

Like all Supertracker systems, the Compact series is supported by a nationwide UK installation and aftercare team, offering on-site calibration, with mobile rigs tested to traceable standards; a national fleet of factory trained engineers; a large centrally located warehouse with spare parts stock; responsive technical assistance; professional demonstrations and training; and dedicated service controllers to handle servicing requirements.

“The Supertracker Compact CCD Wheel Alignment system represents more than just another piece of workshop equipment; it represents a shift in how wheel alignment is delivered, sold and valued,” said the company.
