Modular diagnostic solutions from Bosch
Bosch offers a range of modular diagnostic devices for commercial vehicles, to help workshops get their customers quickly back on the road.
With the easy-to-upgrade entry-level solution, KTS Truck, or the future-proof all-in-one solution, KTS 900 Truck, workshops can perform diagnostic and maintenance tasks on nearly all common electronic systems, says the vehicle technology specialist.
The various packages available for the ESI[tronic] software are said to offer comprehensive diagnostic solutions for commercial vehicles, trailers and buses as well as agricultural vehicles, construction vehicles, engines and material handling.
“With its modular design, ESI[tronic] ensures that you can move forward quickly anywhere in the diagnostic process and always find the right repair solution for your day-to-day business,” said Bosch.
ESI[tronic] with the Truck package is said to support workshops in the reliable diagnosis, complete maintenance and efficient repair of all common light and heavy commercial vehicles, trailers, transporters and buses in Europe, Asia and North and South America.
“In addition to the ECU diagnosis, the software also contains technical information such as wiring diagrams, service and repair instructions as well as system information for a wide range of vehicles.
“The Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics can be accessed through the new 2026 Truck Master unlimited subscription.”
The software includes important basic information on commercial vehicles – for example model series, output, engine designation and axle configuration, forming the basis for in-depth diagnosis.
“The intuitive user guidance with dynamic component description makes the system quick and easy to use,” said Bosch.
“Semi-annual and annual inspections with additional check points can be accessed at any time.
“Component details with default values, output voltages, characteristic curves, etc. assist in troubleshooting.”
It includes access to the full parts catalogue for Bosch and ZF Services, including service information and assembly instructions for the Sachs, Lemförder, Boge and ZF Parts brands.
KTS Truck from Bosch, a modular diagnostic device for commercial vehicles, connects to the Diagnostic Control Unit (DCU 220) or a PC via USB or Bluetooth. In conjunction with the ESI[tronic] packages it offers extensive diagnostic options and supports workshops in repair, maintenance and service.
“The new generation of the KTS Truck improves performance thanks to a powerful microcontroller,” said Bosch.
“Developed for current and future models, the extended protocol coverage and the modernised universal cable with 4-pin connector increase efficiency through faster diagnostic start. Additional adapters and PassThru technology allow access to manufacturer data for updates.”
The Bosch KTS 900 Truck is said to offer a comprehensive mobile solution, comprising the universal KTS Truck module and the flexible DCU 220 as well as the ESI[tronic] diagnostic software.
“The rugged Convertible-PC DCU 220 is a notebook and tablet in one and can be used flexibly and anywhere. Thanks to its easy handling, the rugged housing with an 11.6″ touchscreen, an integrated camera and its long runtime ensured by two lithium ion batteries, the DCU 220 makes workshops future-proof for control unit diagnosis.
“Bosch Connected Repair allows this diagnostic solution to be connected to further diagnostic devices to speed up workshop procedures.”
