TDi Software helps customers drive down infringements

TDi Software has outlined the features and benefits of its product and software solutions, which are designed to aid transport operators in all areas of driver and vehicle compliance, thereby helping them to avoid infringements.

Whilst it is a legal requirement to download and analyse driver and vehicle data regularly, the company says its disc-check package can go much further in helping customers understand their data, and help them make informed decisions to improve their transport operation.

“TDi has been analysing tachograph data for over 30 years, and as technology has evolved, disc-check has been designed to get more data out of digital tachographs than ever before,” it said.

“Disc-check dashboards allow transport managers to see an overview of their fleet at just a quick glance, highlighting the problem areas, and areas that need improvement within their fleet. As users delve deeper into disc-check, users will find driver calendars to assist with working time management and driving hours.

“TDi’s tachograph analysis software also boasts over 40 reports to help operators keep on top of all parts of transport management, from scheduled infringement reports, driver hours reports to assist with payroll, to expiry lists for CPC training, licence expiries and more.

“Alongside infringement reports, disc-check’s driver debrief module allows managers to view which drivers are consistently getting infringements, and if repeat infringements are occurring. This then allows managers to look into changes in driver performance and behaviour which could be linked to deeper concerns such as fatigue, stress or other compliance issues, which can then be solved before further issues occur.

“Debrief will also give managers actions to take to help improve drivers’ individual infringements, and overall increasing compliance throughout their fleet.”

The company says its customers have also improved compliance with the assistance of real time driving screens in disc-check.

“Thanks to remote downloading devices and third-party integrations, this allows users to view live driving times for all drivers, meaning managers can stay one step ahead of driving hours and make informed choices when schedules change to ensure working time laws are adhered to.”

A further package, vehicle-check, can also help ensure vehicle compliance is adhered to. Its daily vehicle walk-around app allows drivers to carry out customised digital checks on their vehicles and trailers and take images of any defects they may find.

“The vehicle-check app is time and location-stamped so managers can ensure checks are done at the correct place and time. Digital vehicle checks allow a more efficient way of maintaining vehicle compliance, and allow operators to send defect reports instantly to the transport office so that vehicles can be fixed in a timely manner and vehicles spend less time off the road.

“TDi can also help operators keep on top of vehicle maintenance with vehicle-check’s scheduling module. This module allows users to schedule, track and manage all areas of vehicle maintenance, such as MOTs, inspections, brake tests and more, keeping vehicles roadworthy and compliant more efficiently.”
