All change for Scotland and Wales traffic commissioners
Sharon Clelland has been appointed as permanent traffic commissioner (TC) for Scotland, two years after the previous incumbent, Claire Gilmore resigned.
The position had been covered by Richard Turfitt, who is also TC for the East of England. Sharon Clelland, previously the head of legal services for the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner, will take up the position in April.
Meanwhile, the TC for Wales has now resigned after six years in post. During her tenure, Victoria Davies fought to recruit staff that were fluent in Welsh and English, and to build better relationships between the Welsh Traffic Area Office and the Welsh government.
