Hella expands AC and engine cooling ranges

Hella has announced rapid acceleration of its thermal management portfolio rollout, with 1,500 new items in its aftermarket range for heavy-duty vehicles, LCVs and passenger cars, including air conditioning and engine cooling components.

This significant expansion brings the company’s total thermal offering to 2,400 parts, providing comprehensive coverage.

“With over 20 years of knowledge in thermal management dating back to 1999, Hella has re-entered the market as a trusted expert in engine cooling and air conditioning solutions,” said Neil Grant, managing director, Hella UK.

“Our commitment to innovation, quality, and reliability ensures optimal temperature control, enhancing both performance and durability.”

As part of this growth, Hella is introducing eleven brand-new product categories to the UK market. The new additions include fan clutches for engine cooling, oil coolers, coolant expansion tanks, and expansion valves.

“Strengthening our thermal management range is a vital step in our commitment to the independent aftermarket,” said Neil Grant.

“With workshops facing increasingly complex cooling systems in conventional, hybrid, and electric vehicles, having access to a comprehensive, OE-quality range from a single trusted supplier has never been more critical.”

This latest milestone keeps Hella firmly on track to more than double its thermal management range to approximately 6,000 parts by 2027. The roadmap focuses on combining maximum market shelf-presence with the OE-grade innovation the brand is known for.

Hella says its decades of original equipment expertise have enabled it to bring high-tech solutions, such as the Coolant Control Hub (CCH), directly into the independent sector. This hardware is bolstered by the brand’s established Electrical & Electronic portfolio, which includes everything from coolant thermostats and temperature sensors to advanced air quality modules.

To ensure ‘first-time fit’ reliability, all components undergo rigorous checks at Hella laboratories in Germany and China, the firm adds, supported by additional independent testing.

“Expanding our thermal management range ensures workshops and distributors have the parts availability and technical insight they need to stay ahead,” said Ian Mattacola, Hella UK product manager for Thermal.

“With Easy2Fit, technicians get everything for the job in a single box, cutting installation time and helping deliver a right-first-time repair every time.”

Beyond its parts offering, Hella is helping close the skills gap through Hella Tech World, an online platform providing technicians with detailed technical information, including oil filling quantities. Combined with HGS Data’s vehicle repair procedures and Hella Gutmann diagnostics, this will help equip workshops to handle even the most complex thermal management faults.

Looking ahead, Hella plans to launch targeted training programmes aimed at boosting efficiency in repairing complex cooling systems and preparing technicians for the demands of modern thermal management technologies.
