CV Show 2026 – IRTE: advice for engineers
The 2026 Commercial Vehicle Show will take place from 21-23 April at the NEC Birmingham.

The Institute of Road Transport Engineers (IRTE), a sector of the Society of Operations Engineers (SOE), is looking forward to meeting engineers, operators, workshop managers and technicians this year.
Show-goers are invited to the stand to discuss the Maintenance Provision Rating Scheme (MPRS) for workshops, the benefits of professional registration with the Engineering Council, irtec certification for technicians, and IRTE Workshop Accreditation.
IRTE will also host live discussions across the first two days, including a session with DVSA exploring EngTech, how it compares to irtec, and the value of professional registration for engineers and employers, and a session about MPRS. There will be Q+A opportunities at the end of each session, which are scheduled to begin at 11am each day.
