Diesel Technic launches new Parts Specialists App

Global commercial vehicle spare parts supplier Diesel Technic has introduced a new mobile app designed to give UK workshops and commercial vehicle professionals faster, more direct access to technical support.

The Parts Specialists (PS) App has been developed as a practical extension of Diesel Technic’s existing HelpDesk service, allowing technicians to connect directly with the company’s technical experts from wherever the job is taking place – whether that’s in the workshop, at the roadside or on-site with a vehicle.

The app is said to provide fast and direct access to technical support with users able to submit queries directly to the relevant specialist using a simple, structured interface. Requests can range from usage and installation guidance, special applications, through to VIN/chassis number-based parts identification and compatibility checks, helping ensure the correct component is selected first time.

The launch comes at a time when Diesel Technic is continuing to expand its aftermarket range, with the DT Spare Parts brand now offering around 50,000 replacement parts across trucks, trailers, buses, and light commercial vehicles.

For workshops, the breadth of the range creates greater opportunity to source from a single, trusted brand, says the firm, with the new app providing fast, direct access to the expertise that underpins ‘right-first-time’ parts selection and fitment.

Lee Harris, parts specialist at Diesel Technic UK & Ireland, said: “As the DT Spare Parts range continues to grow, access to fast, accurate technical support becomes even more important for workshops. The PS App gives technicians a direct line to our expertise, right when they need it, whether they’re identifying a part via VIN or dealing with an installation question on the workshop floor.

“It’s about making support more immediate, more practical and ultimately helping customers keep vehicles on the road with confidence.”

The app also includes a feedback function, giving users a channel to share insights from the workshop directly with Diesel Technic’s product teams – whether that relates to product performance, range development or technical information. This two-way communication is intended to support ongoing product optimisation as well as strengthen links with the independent aftermarket.

Available in multiple languages including English, the PS App reflects the increasingly digital and mobile nature of the sector, says Diesel Technic, where technicians are looking for quicker answers without stepping away from the job in hand. All core functions are accessible within a few taps, effectively putting manufacturer-level support in the user’s pocket.

The Parts Specialists App is available now to download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
