Seven Tiger Trailers Insuliners for DFDS
DFDS Logistics Scotland has bolstered its Shetland fleet with the addition of seven insulated curtainsiders manufactured by Tiger Trailers, fully customised for the operator’s exact requirements.
Designed and engineered for the transportation of fish within a range of -2 to +2 degrees, the specialist temperature-controlled curtainsiders are equipped with insulated floor slabs, curtains, bulkheads and doors, and are finished with Thermo King UK Advancer 400 fridge units.
A temperature recorder unit is fitted to the bulkhead, aluminium flooring provides extra grip, and cargo is secured by means of three load-restraint gates, a heavy-duty choc rave, sliding side roof support pillars, and cabbage boards running down each side.
Michael Robinson, engineering manager of DFDS’ European Equipment Pool (EEP), commented: “We’re very pleased with these new Insuliners. Tiger Trailers listens to our requirements and delivers a high-quality product.
“These trailers follow five ambient curtainsiders and a refrigerated moving deck double deck that Tiger Trailers have supplied us in the last two years.”
