Recovery firms keep investing in Isuzu trucks
Isuzu Truck UK reports that its N-Series vehicles have seen repeat custom from recovery fleets ‘year after year’, with operators praising the trucks’ light weight and dependability.
“The recovery sector demands exceptional reliability, which is why the N-Series excels,” said Lee Tansley, national fleet sales manager of Isuzu Truck UK.
“Over the years, we’ve seen our vehicles become a trusted workhorse for recovery operators across the UK.
Mac Engledew, director of customer Recovery World, commented: “We started using Isuzu trucks before they were even established in the UK; back then it was all about the payload. Because they’re simple, tough and lightweight you get a real payoff when it comes to what you can load on the back – and in the recovery sector that’s vitally important. We’ve been specifying Isuzu trucks ever since.”
Said Lee Tansley: “With customers like Recovery World returning year after year, it sends a clear message about the suitability of our trucks for such a demanding application.”
Other users of the vehicles include Newquay-based Fourwinds Garage, which last year took delivery of three new Isuzu N75.190 recovery vehicles (pictured), citing consistent reliability from its existing 7.5-tonners from the manufacturer.
Dave Henwood, managing director at Fourwinds Garage, said: “The chassis is remarkably strong and the body we spec is equally tough; combined they are perfectly suited to the recovery industry. When you factor in the manoeuvrability and small footprint of the Isuzu, it’s simply the right tool for the job given the narrow, winding roads we often find ourselves working on here in Cornwall.”
