EnerSys to showcase smart battery monitoring at Automechanika
EnerSys, the manufacturer of Odyssey batteries, will demonstrate how smart battery monitoring can help fleet operators reduce unplanned downtime at Automechanika Frankfurt (8-12 September).
The full Odyssey battery portfolio will be on display during the event, which takes place at Messe Frankfurt in Germany and brings together manufacturers, suppliers and professionals from across the global automotive aftermarket. Visitors can meet the experts from EnerSys on stand D37 in Hall 4.1 and explore solutions for transport, marine, motorsport and generator applications.
A key focus of the EnerSys stand will be the Odyssey Connect battery monitoring system, which enables users to monitor battery state of charge, state of health, voltage and temperature through a Bluetooth connection on compatible Apple or Android smart devices. By providing real-time battery performance data, the system helps fleet managers identify potential battery issues earlier, supporting more proactive maintenance planning and reducing the risk of battery-related disruption.
Built with Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology, Odyssey batteries are engineered to deliver reliable power under the toughest conditions, says EnerSys, and are designed to meet the demands that conventional lead acid batteries often struggle to handle.
Backed by limited warranty coverage of up to four years, depending on product and application, Odyssey batteries are engineered with a military-inspired design said to provide exceptional cranking power, strong resistance to high impact shock and reliable performance across a temperature range of -40°C to 60°C. EnerSys highlights the brand’s long-standing partnerships with high-profile motorsport teams, including Intact GP, Team Brit, Team Oliver Racing and Gigglepin.
