Wireless Stertil-Koni lifts for Roger’s Truck Services
Runcorn-based Roger’s Truck Services has invested in a new set of mobile column vehicle lifts from Stertil-Koni, ensuring its workshop is well equipped to provide truck and trailer servicing for its diverse customer base.
The family-owned business, which provides 24-hour truck and trailer assistance, commercial vehicle recovery, vehicle transportation and a range of maintenance services, recently relocated to larger premises. As part of the investment, the company purchased eight Stertil-Koni ST1075FSA cabled mobile column lifts.
Each mobile column has a lifting capacity of 7.5 tonnes, providing a combined lifting capacity of up to 60 tonnes when used as a set of eight lifts. This makes them ideally suited to servicing the wide range of heavy-duty trucks and trailers that pass through the workshop, says Stertil-Koni.
Despite being a cabled system, the mobile columns can be easily manoeuvred into position using an integrated hydraulic pallet truck mechanism with patented overload protection. This allows the lifts to be positioned around different vehicle configurations before being moved aside when not in use, helping to maximise valuable workshop space.
The ST1075FSA is equipped with Stertil-Koni’s intuitive ebright Smart Control System, featuring a full-colour touchscreen that allows engineers to operate individual columns or complete lifting sets from any column within the system.
Workshop productivity is further enhanced by the column’s fast lifting speed, the manufacturer adds: the ST1075FSA reaches its maximum lifting height of 1,850 mm in just 75 seconds, making it one of the fastest mobile column lifts available.
Safety features include an integrated mechanical locking system on every column and intelligent synchronisation technology that keeps all columns operating together. Any height variation exceeding 15 mm is automatically corrected, providing stable lifting performance and increased confidence for workshop engineers.
The ST1075FSA is independently tested to meet international safety standards, including the American ANSI/ALI ALCTV requirements, alongside CE certification.
