The Turbo Guy launches CV turbo division

In response to growing industry demand from operators of HGVs, off-highway vehicles, buses, marine and plant machinery, The Turbo Guy has created a new commercial turbo division with a dedicated sales team.

In addition to stocking OE replacement turbos covering the most widely available commercial vehicle units, the company says it can now provide a fast turnaround repair and remanufacturing service for agricultural, plant, marine and non-standard turbos from its engineering facility in Glasgow.

With the aim of providing a fully comprehensive solution, the business will soon introduce a range of premium commercial turbo fitting kits.

The new commercial division is being led by Ian Goodall, formerly managing director of TCS, which was acquired by The Turbo Guy in 2025. Together with Matt McGee, head of technical, the business unit brings over sixty years of commercial industry experience to customer partnerships.

Over the past 12 months, a combination of increased sales, product innovation and enhanced distribution capability has delivered a 25 per cent uplift in annual turnover for The Turbo Guy, the firm reports, as it continues to expand its product offering across the UK aftermarket.

Another key driver of growth cited by the company is the success of its premium value trade-only turbo brand, Kiiro, which was launched earlier this year to offer motor factors further choice. Said to aid transparency and cost efficiency, Kiiro products have zero surcharges to motor factors, helping them to improve cashflow and simplify administration, as there is no old core exchange required.

Commenting on the launch of the new commercial division and his company’s year-on-year growth, Allan Mitchell, managing director of The Turbo Guy, said: “The creation of a dedicated commercial division is a natural next step for The Turbo Guy and we are committed to delivering a tailored solution for customers, including global sourcing of discontinued units or parts.

“By offering both a repair and new turbo replacement service, we bring tangible value to customers requiring fast turnaround and expert support for their fleets and equipment. With a highly experienced team on board being led by Ian Goodall, we have a clear focus on developing the commercial turbo market.

“Achieving 25 per cent growth in one year is a significant milestone for the business and reflects the hard work of our team. The launch of Kiiro has exceeded our expectations, giving customers a premium value alternative that delivers quality and affordability. At the same time, the investment in our Elland facility has transformed our distribution capability. This is a crucial step forward in our expansion plans and ensures we remain responsive to the needs of customers in multiple markets.”

Ian Goodall, head of commercial division at The Turbo Guy, added: “This new division gives us a laser focus on the needs of commercial, marine, public transport and off-highway customers. The Turbo Guy brings proven product knowledge, remanufacturing and supply expertise that offers a compelling proposition for commercial workshops, vehicle fleets and specialist operators across the UK and beyond.”
