Certas Energy rolls out Esso HGV fuel card
Certas Energy has recently launched a collaboration with Esso and WEX, and introduced a dedicated Esso fuel card for HGV.
The UK’s transport industry continues to operate in a challenging environment, says Certas Energy, with fleet operators balancing rising operating costs, pressure on margins, evolving sustainability goals and the constant need to keep vehicles moving.
“That’s why partnerships that simplify fuel management and improve operational efficiency can make a meaningful difference to hauliers of all sizes,” said Andrew Goodwin, head of fuel cards at Certas Energy.
“We work with a wide range of transport businesses that operate some of the UK’s largest fleets. Their priorities are competitive fuel pricing, dependable access to fuel and confidence that drivers can refuel quickly and conveniently wherever their route takes them.”
The new partnership has been developed with those needs in mind, says Andrew.
“We now offer a dedicated Esso HGV fuel card that gives Certas Energy customers access to Esso’s extensive UK forecourt network, including HGV-compatible sites across key transport corridors. With around 1,400 locations nationwide, the network provides operators with greater flexibility when planning routes and managing refuelling stops.”
The ability to achieve greater efficiency from every litre of fuel remains a major focus, he adds, particularly as businesses look for practical ways to reduce running costs.
“Through the new card, Certas Energy customers can also access Esso Diesel Efficient at selected locations. Designed to help improve fuel economy, reduce maintenance requirements and support vehicle uptime, enhanced diesel products can contribute to lower total operating costs across a fleet.”
As fleet operations become increasingly complex, says Andrew, simplicity and consistency are becoming valuable commodities.
“Whether it’s easier access to fuel, preferential pricing for high-volume users or the confidence that comes from a nationwide network, transport operators are looking for solutions that help them focus on what matters most – keeping vehicles on the road and businesses moving forward.
“The introduction of the first dedicated Esso HGV fuel card reflects that demand and represents another step towards giving UK fleet operators the tools, flexibility and support they need to operate efficiently in a competitive market.
“The new card complements Certas Energy’s existing FuelTapp service. Together, they provide customers with greater network access, improved visibility and control over fuel spend, and the flexibility to choose the solution that best suits their operation.”
