Redtronic launches Infinity 180 Halfbar
Lighting provider Redtronic has recently launched a new emergency vehicle warning solution, the Infinity 180 Halfbar, designed for front and rear ambulance applications.
The system has been engineered to deliver exceptional front and rear visibility, industry-leading serviceability, and outstanding performance in one of the lightest platforms available today, Redtronic says.
The UK manufacturer of visual and audible warning signals has been supplying products and services to the emergency and safety services since 1983, and now has distributors and resellers in over 46 countries worldwide.
“Designed, manufactured and rigorously tested at Redtronic’s UK headquarters, the Infinity 180 Halfbar has been developed specifically to meet the evolving demands of modern emergency service fleets,” said the company.
“Combining advanced optical performance with an ultra-slim aerodynamic profile and modular construction, the new Halfbar represents a significant advancement in emergency vehicle lighting technology.”
Richard Smith of Cartwright Vehicle Conversions commented: “We wanted a professional-looking solution that didn’t appear to be stuck on the vehicle. Redtronic took our input and developed a solution that suited the modern vehicle aesthetic while meeting every lighting requirement. The split rear configuration also allowed us to retain the central high-level brake light without compromising the warning specification.”
Initially engineered for ambulance applications, the Infinity 180 Halfbar provides visibility to the front and rear of the vehicle. This approach is said to reduce overall vehicle weight, minimise aerodynamic drag and wind noise, improve fuel efficiency, and simplify vehicle installation, without compromising warning performance.
“Weighing less than 3kg for a standard 1420mm configuration, the Infinity 180 Halfbar is one of the lightest solutions in its class,” said Redtronic.
“The reduction in weight not only eases installation and reduces strain on vehicle roofs and mounting systems but also contributes to improved vehicle efficiency throughout its operational life.
“At the heart of the Infinity 180 Halfbar is Redtronic’s modular plug-and-play LED architecture. Unlike traditional warning light systems that often require complete unit replacement when damaged or outdated, each LED module within the Infinity 180 can be individually replaced or upgraded in minutes. Maintenance can be completed without opening the bar or compromising its factory seal, significantly reducing vehicle downtime, lowering lifetime ownership costs, and providing fleets with a future-ready platform capable of adapting to evolving operational requirements.
“The Infinity 180 Halfbar incorporates advanced hybrid-acrylic lenses, offering exceptional resistance to UV exposure, environmental ageing and the aggressive cleaning chemicals routinely used within ambulance and emergency vehicle maintenance programmes. Combined with an IP69K ingress protection rating, the Halfbar is engineered to withstand the demanding conditions experienced by frontline emergency vehicles operating around the clock.
“The Infinity 180 Halfbar has been independently tested and certified to the latest ECE R65 Class II and EMC R10 standards, ensuring compliance with stringent international performance and electromagnetic compatibility requirements.”
The Infinity 180 is available in a selection of preconfigured front and rear specifications, Redtronic adds, with various LED colour and function options available depending on the chosen model.
“Selected configurations can include integrated Gatso lighting and stop-tail indicator functions, allowing warning and vehicle signalling requirements to be incorporated within one streamlined platform, while seamless synchronisation with other Redtronic products enables a fully integrated 360° vehicle warning solution.”
Every unit is designed, manufactured, assembled and extensively tested in the United Kingdom, says Redtronic, allowing the company to maintain complete control over product quality, innovation and performance. The solution is backed by a five-year warranty.
The firm concluded: “Our engineering team set out to develop a solution that delivers exceptional warning performance while addressing the practical challenges faced by modern fleet operators, including weight reduction, durability and future adaptability.
“As emergency vehicle design continues to evolve, the Infinity 180 Halfbar demonstrates Redtronic’s ongoing commitment to delivering innovative UK-manufactured technology that improves safety, enhances operational efficiency and supports the vital work of emergency services across the UK and around the world.
“The launch of the Infinity 180 Halfbar showcases Redtronic’s commitment to constantly look for innovative improvements of their products, to provide safer, brighter, and versatile lighting for emergency services and recovery rescue vehicles.”
