Tackling flat batteries with KJC booster packs
KJC Technik has been manufacturing portable battery booster packs for nearly 30 years. Features of the range highlighted by the company include high-power, high-reliability AGM batteries, coupled with high-current recharging solutions to provide an ‘always available’ response to flat vehicle batteries.
Robert Carter, KJC Technik’s managing director, explained: “Over the years, our range of portable battery boosters has been refined and enhanced, KJC battery boosters cover all common voltages, with units offering single or dual voltage operation, and all are ‘switch selectable’.
”We consider our KJC booster packs to be the most health and safety-conscious available. The packs feature a unique electronic monitoring circuit, incorporating over-voltage lockout which helps prevent connection of a 12V pack to a 24V vehicle, reverse polarity protection that works even if the battery voltage is as low as 1V, low battery protection, voltage surge protection and usage recording…
“We supply all of the major truck and bus dealers and operators in the UK as well as overseas, all backed up by a two-year warranty and comprehensive repair and servicing capability.”
The KJC Technik range covers 12V, 12V/24V and 24V-only packs, ranging in capacity from 32Ah to 90Ah.
For service van use, KJC recommends its K1224-26 or K1224-37 packs, citing their easy-to-use single switch dual voltage selection.
For truck and bus fleet users, the 24V-only units offer standard capacities of 32Ah and 45Ah, with the option of a dual 90Ah pack should the application require it.
All KJC battery booster packs come with high-current 8A/10A three-stage chargers, designed and optimised to not only recharge the battery pack quickly, says the firm, but keep the batteries in top condition. A choice of plug-in leads is available, as well as steel handling trolleys to enable safe movement around the workshop or yard.
