New Euro 6 rigids from DAF
DAF is filling more of the gaps in its Euro 6 line-up, including a complete range of three-axle rigids with trailing, second steered or tandem-drive axles using the XF and CF cabs.
FAR and FAS models feature trailing 7.5- or 10-tonne third axles with single or dual wheels respectively, the FAN (pictured) has a rear-steered axle, and the FAG has a second steered axle.
A much-revised all-axle air suspension is optional for operations using demountable bodies.
FAD (8×4) and FAT (6×2) models feature double-drive rear axles and are intended for applications where traction is critical, but the off-highway mobility offered by DAF’s previously announced Construction range is not required. DAF sees the 8×4 as being ideal for applications such as concrete mixing/pumping and the 6×4 for skip and agricultural work.
All chassis are provided prepared for bodying.
