Ainscough stays Brakesafe with Turnkey portable testing
Ainscough Crane Hire has selected Turnkey Instruments to provide its portable brake testing equipment.
Turnkey’s Brakesafe portable brake tester will be deployed across Ainscough’s fleet of over 470 cranes to ensure optimum brake performance.
The investment follows the latest Mobile Crane Technical Information note from the Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA) detailing the requirements for in-service performance testing of the chassis brakes of mobile cranes operating under STGO.
Graham Weights, service support manager at Ainscough, is pictured taking delivery of the new Brakesafe portable brake tester. Ainscough trialled the Brakesafe brake tester over an extensive period at depots throughout the UK and has now rolled out the technology nationally, citing reliability and ease of use as key benefits of the equipment.
