3M: let your fleet do the talking

Wrap film provider 3M has highlighted the potential for vehicle graphics to be deployed as an effective marketing tool to drive increased visibility and awareness of brands and products.

“Trucks and trailers offer an excellent canvas for striking and memorable designs,” said the company.

“From a large corporate fleet to a single trailer, you have the opportunity to share your brand with your customers while on the move.”

When it comes to wrapping a vehicle, says 3M, confidence and speed are key.

“3M Print Wrap Film IJ280 has been engineered to support both and help fleets of all sizes stand out from the crowd.”

The film was designed in response to feedback from installers worldwide who sought exceptional performance and quality, says 3M.

“With outstanding print quality, designs come to life with unparalleled clarity and colour depth,” the firm continued.

“3M’s technology provides efficient installation, with up to 20 per cent faster installation time and less heat compared to other leading digital cast films, resulting in a shorter vehicle downtime.”

Choosing to work with a 3M Select Partner has many benefits, adds the company, including the 3M Matched Component System (MCS) Warranty, which covers all elements of a graphic to ensure they perform over time, even in the harshest environments.

“3M Select Partners undergo extensive training to prepare and apply 3M Films to a high-quality finish.

“The sector has responded positively since the launch of IJ280 as it delivers an upgrade on everything converters and installers expect from a film – outstanding print quality and excellent durability.

“At a time when we all need to do more, this is a huge time saving and can even remove the need for a second installer, meaning vehicle wrap specialists can take on more work and increase sales.”

Pen Webley, 3M commercial branding and transportation marketer, added: “Applications include cars and vans, public transport, trucks and trailers, trams and emergency vehicles, with surface types ranging from compound curves and corrugations to flat, flat with rivets and simple curves.”

As with most print films, says 3M, it is only as good as the overlaminate.

“3M Print Wrap Film IJ280 is paired with 3M Gloss Wrap Overlaminate 8428G. With an unrivalled gloss finish and high conformability, the finished graphics installation has never been and looked better.”
