Security solutions provider Multiprotexion’s product portfolio includes the Videomatix video surveillance system for vehicles.

Suitable for truck, coach, van and taxi applications, the mobile solution is said to offer complete protection and constant monitoring from Multiprotexion’s 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre.

The system allows the customer and the Multiprotexion operations centre to remotely check what is happening locally, says the company, and provides video evidence that can be crucial in investigations and legal disputes.

It also highlights the system’s deterrent effect, with the presence of cameras potentially discouraging criminal behaviour and vandalism; while operational efficiency is increased as the system helps to manage fleets, improve routes and monitor driver behaviour.

On the M-DVR and cameras, the company said: “Our automotive certified devices are designed for vehicle monitoring and remote video surveillance. Equipped with H.265 technology, 3G/4G network, GPS/BD and WiFi, they allow recording of up to eight videos in high resolution and remote video uploading. The supplied software enables centralised remote monitoring.”

Various cameras types are available, says Multiprotexion, in order to always guarantee the best footage according to the type of vehicle and the customer’s needs.

Data is recorded locally on the M-DVR on board the vehicle; thanks to the data connection (SIM card), users can view the footage remotely by connecting live. Videos are safe and accessible via cloud storage, while images and positioning of vehicles can always be seen via web client or app for mobile devices (Android and iOS).
