Neol Lubricants: rewriting the rules of fleet maintenance

Neol Lubricants has described how its ‘game-changing’ oil technology can rejuvenate engines and decrease maintenance costs.

While operators have long accepted the need to regularly replace their fleets as the norm, says the brand, looking after engines can reduce downtime and maintenance costs – meaning fleet managers don’t need to change fleets regularly at a huge cost, and can run engines longer without losing energy efficiency.

Leyla Alieva, CEO and co-founder of UK-based Neol Copper Technologies, which developed Neol Lubricants, explained: “Our oils don’t just protect engines – they rejuvenate them.

“Our patented CuGlide technology forms a self-replenishing copper film that actively restores worn surfaces, reduces internal friction, and keeps systems running cleaner and longer. That translates into real savings for fleet managers – in fuel, maintenance, and downtime.”

Neol says it carries out regular real life application testing, drawing on over 30 years of R&D and nearly two decades of application in other markets. It cites a recent study carried out with IAAPS, a leading propulsion R&D centre, on a used, high-mileage Ford Transit van – aptly named Bob Van Go – which confirmed fuel savings of over 4.5 percent, showcasing the real-world results of Neol Lubricants.

Alieva added: “Fleet operators have been conditioned to believe that wear and tear is irreversible. But Neol flips that narrative – our oil doesn’t just slow down degradation, it reverses it. This allows businesses to push beyond the usual repair / replace lifecycle and unlock serious savings in maintenance, downtime and expenditure.”

At the heart of Neol is CuGlide, a copper-based, no-SAPS additive system that combats hydrogen wear – a key but often overlooked driver of engine deterioration, says the company.

Instead of allowing friction to erode metal surfaces, CuGlide forms a nano-thin copper film that ‘heals’ and protects them over time. This innovative approach is said to result in restored performance and fuel efficiency, reduced friction, vibration and heat, cleaner engines and longer DPF life, lower emissions and longer engine lifespan.

Alieva continued: “In an era where fleets are under pressure to be leaner, greener and longer-lasting, Neol offers a way forward. Standard oils are built to preserve what’s already there. Neol is designed to clean, restore and rejuvenate.

“We’re proud to offer a solution that delivers more than just maintenance. It delivers momentum.”
