Logistics UK expands Vision platform with Check module
Logistics UK has announced the expansion of its Vision compliance platform with new functionality, including to facilitate daily walkaround checks.
The launch of Check, the new digital checklist module – alongside a completely redeveloped mobile phone app designed to give drivers instant access to essential compliance information – were announced at the organisation’s Transport Manager conference at Hayes Motor Museum in Yeovil last month.
The new Vision Check module includes fully customisable digital checklists and templates for all assets, vehicles and incidents, and is said to allow drivers to complete daily walkaround checks with ease.
The checklists can be tailored to meet operators’ specific needs and have been designed to replace inefficient and insecure paper trails. The checklists are uploaded automatically to the Vision platform providing operators with full access to defect reporting and ability to identify trends and remedy maintenance issues.
Speaking at the conference – the first in Logistics UK’s annual series of events aimed at those responsible for vehicle and fleet compliance – digital development director Jemma James said: “Compliance is no longer a tick-box exercise, and forward-thinking companies are now leveraging the data they collect to drive efficiencies and deliver operational gains.
“The latest development of the Vision compliance platform, including the launch of our new driver app, makes collecting and processing data straightforward, bringing clarity to an operator’s business and allowing them to improve working practices.”
She continued: “We always develop Vision in line with users’ feedback and the new driver app is our most powerful tool yet. The app has been overhauled to ensure that drivers can now see their remaining driving hours, weekly rest status and working time periods, all in one place.
“It also integrates with Vision Check meaning drivers can use the app to complete asset, vehicle and incident checks.
“Operators will also be able to embed compliance culture within their fleet of drivers by using the app to deliver best practice micro-training videos. These short videos deliver bite size learning and are a very effective way to educate drivers and ensure compliance is always a top priority.
“When used together, the app and Vision platform provide the ultimate compliance and training resource meaning operators can concentrate on their core business without the dread of not knowing their compliance status.”
Backed up by human-led support via phone or email, Logistics UK products are validated by its Member Advice Centre and Policy team. Its compliance software, Vision, aims to help operators manage compliance and operations through a single, easy-to-use portal. The platform is said to provide a one-stop shop for all aspects of compliance including tachograph analysis, licence checks, vehicle inspections, walkaround checks, PCN analysis, audits, training and risk assessment.
