Unitruck opts for Totalkare brake tester with tacho calibration
Unitruck Services has strengthened its workshop capabilities at its new Birmingham site, installing an 18,000kg capacity in-ground brake tester with tachograph calibration from Totalkare.
The in-ground brake tester is designed to make vehicle testing and diagnostics quicker and simpler. It provides reliable brake testing across a wide range of commercial vehicles, says Totalkare, and with its 18,000kg axle load capacity and built-in tachograph calibration, the Unitruck Services team can now carry out essential compliance checks on site.
Alongside the brake tester, Unitruck Services has also bought a set of T8DC cable-free mobile column lifts, replacing the existing S6CF column lifts. The T8DC lifts are said to be easier to move around, quicker to set up, and give the workshop more flexibility thanks to their cable-free design, making them well suited to a workshop that handles a wide variety of fleet maintenance work.
This is not the only recent investment for the company. Earlier this year, Unitruck Services bought a heavy-duty four post lift for another of its Birmingham sites.
