Colson Trailers launches new ScrapPipe tipper
Colson Trailers has introduced the latest addition to its range, in the form of the new 68yd³ ScrapPipe tipper.
“Designed as a hybrid between our proven halfpipe and high-capacity trailer models, the ScrapPipe has been developed with versatility at its heart,” said the company.
“The lower half of the trailer takes inspiration from our 35yd³ Heavy Duty halfpipe, helping to keep the load lower and more centralised. Moving upwards, we’ve introduced taller sides and rear doors inspired by our 80yd³ Scrapbox, increasing overall capacity while helping to maintain a practical and controlled tipping profile.”
By combining elements from these two established designs, the company says the new trailer offers increased capacity whilst retaining the practicality that makes its halfpipe range so popular. Rather than designing a trailer for just one particular industry, the firm wanted to create something that could adapt to the operator and job alike.

The company offers a diverse trailer range for a wide variety of haulage operations.
“Our 35yd³ halfpipes, including the Heavy Duty Agglite and Aluminium Superlite, cover applications from aggregates, sand, muck, stone and more,” it added.
“For operators looking for greater capacity, our 45yd³ Semi Bulker provides the next step up, while our 45yd³ Rockard has been developed for demanding applications such as rock armour and sea defence work.
“At the larger end, we offer the 75yd³ Scraplite and our customer favourite 80yd³ Scrapbox, both designed around bulk haulage applications including scrap, waste, recycling, muck and aggregates.
“The new ScrapPipe sits neatly between these categories, combining the practicality of a halfpipe with the increased capacity of a bulk trailer. It draws together proven design features from across our range to create a versatile solution for a wide variety of haulage applications.”
Alongside the expanding tipper range, Colson Trailers also manufactures and supplies low loaders, with three, four, five, six and eight-axle options available, as well as its 500-litre Clamshell Grab Bucket, designed for efficient and precise grabbing.
