Straightset and Supertracker join TyreSafe to strengthen tyre safety message

Workshop equipment specialist Straightset and its British wheel alignment brand Supertracker have announced a new partnership with TyreSafe, supporting the charity’s work to improve tyre safety and help reduce tyre-related incidents on UK roads.

The shared aim of the collaboration, says Straightset, is to help workshops and motorists understand the importance of looking after their tyres.

As commercial supporters of TyreSafe, Straightset and Supertracker will share their workshop and alignment expertise to aid the charity’s work, helping to strengthen the connection between wheel alignment, tyre maintenance and road safety.

Julia Blake, marketing and communications director at Straightset, said: “We’re really pleased to be joining TyreSafe. We’ve worked with workshops across the UK for many years and supporting a charity that is doing so much to improve tyre safety feels like a very natural fit for us.

“Through Supertracker, we see every day how closely wheel alignment and tyre condition are connected. Alignment isn’t just about how a vehicle drives. Incorrect alignment can contribute to uneven tyre wear, so there’s an important safety message here too. We’re looking forward to sharing what we know and getting involved in TyreSafe’s work.”

Straightset provides garage equipment for commercial vehicle and car workshops across the UK, supported by installation, servicing and maintenance.

Supertracker, which has been owned by Straightset since 2022, is a long-established British manufacturer of wheel alignment equipment. Its range includes laser and computerised wheel aligners as well as equipment for commercial vehicles.

The two brands will now support TyreSafe’s ongoing work to educate road users and promote better tyre safety practices.

Stuart Lovatt, chair of TyreSafe, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Straightset and Supertracker as commercial supporters of TyreSafe. Together, they bring valuable expertise across the garage equipment sector, from specialist wheel alignment technology to the equipment, servicing and support that keep workshops operating safely and efficiently.

“Garages play an important role in helping ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy, and the right equipment and technical support are essential to that work. We look forward to working with Straightset and Supertracker to raise awareness of tyre safety and encourage road users and businesses to make tyre maintenance a priority.”
