Transafe reopens training premises

North East Lincolnshire-based Transafe Training has recently reopened its premises following Covid-19 restrictions, and has announced it is offering customers a number of discounted courses including Driver CPC, ADR, transport manager and health and safety training.

The company offers accredited qualifications in a wide range of areas, including bespoke courses using an LGV simulator.

The LGV simulator is built around a full-sized LGV tractor unit and uses the same controls as road-going trucks. It provides trainees with a high-resolution, 220-degree field of vision with simulated rear views, which Transafe says allows users to experience a fully immersive virtual realistic on-the-road experience.

“Through custom scenario development we have the ability to have total control over the simulated environment, meaning a specific scenario can be repeated until performance becomes satisfactory – unlike in the real world, where natural changes to weather, vehicle and pedestrian traffic and time of day preclude precise repetition of activities,” said the company.

“Trainees will also be able to take advantage of our new LGV Training Centre, which includes a new indoor reversing area replicating the test centres at the DVLA. This allows individuals to practice in an environment similar to the surroundings where they will be taking their test.”

Recent Transafe customers include CPC candidate Jeff Kay, who said: “It’s a brilliant course, money well spent, no complaints at all. All of the staff have been really helpful and I would recommend this to anyone.”
