Majorlift jacking beams give workshops a boost
Garage equipment provider Majorlift produces a range of jacking beams designed to suit all makes of commercial lifts, with the options of air over hydraulic or manual operation.
The family-owned company operates from South Gloucestershire, where it has produced a variety of hydraulic lifting equipment for the last 50 years.
The commercial lift beam has many safety features incorporated in the design as standard – for example, screw type rams with locking collars, which allow work to be safely carried out while suspending the vehicle, a pressure relief valve to prevent overloading, an adjustable frame for versatility, plus a full range of ram head accessories to help ensure safe lifting.
Also available in the Majorlift range is a selection of smaller lift beams to suit lifts designed for Class IV and VII MOT testing, which can also be specified with air or manual operation. These beams incorporate many of the same safety features as their larger counterparts.
The company additionally supplies a vertical transmission jack which can be deployed to complement the lift beam, especially when used with column lifts. This product is also available in air hydraulic or manual operation, with a lifting capacity of 1,000 or 2,000kg.
All Majorlift products are guaranteed for five years, and the company cites quality and safety as its first priorities. This is achieved by manufacturing 95 per cent of the products in house, it says, as well as being approved to BS EN ISO 9001 standard. Majorlift is also an approved defence contractor for garage equipment.
“Majorlift built its reputation by listening to customers’ requirements and designing and building bespoke items, many of which are now in the company’s standard product list,” said the firm, adding that it is always happy to discuss any special requirements.
