Hofmann Megaplan launches Luxus lift range
Hofmann Megaplan has recently launched a new range of Luxus vehicle lifts onto the UK market – including the HML55 and HML65, offering 5.5 and 6.5 ton lifting capacity respectively, designed specifically for LCV workshop applications.
“The Luxus brand adopts the electro-hydraulic design which has become increasingly popular in Europe in recent years,” said Hofmann Megaplan.
“Hydraulic lifts have long been the most common type in the US, the largest market for lifts. Cheaper to produce, they are a little more complex and time-consuming to install but they are built to an extremely high standard.
“Whilst it may not be fair to expect the same life expectancy from an electro-hydraulic as you would a European style ‘screw’ lift, Luxus is undoubtedly considered to be amongst the most durable and reliable electro-hydraulic lifts on the market.
“The concept behind the development of Luxus was always to create a lift that focused on build quality. Thickness of steel, quality of welds, and sourcing of premium quality key components from only the most reliable sources were the basic criteria for Luxus.”
The company cites the use of high-quality Italian solenoid valves, British rubber seals, and extended life, premium quality steel cables.
Features include oversized oil reservoirs; a vehicle-friendly top beam to eliminate potential damage; a space-saving, asymmetrical design (HML40) allowing best door opening/access; and 6mm (column) and 8mm (carriage) steel thickness for maximum durability.
The high clearance is said to be ideal for tall vehicles and technicians, says Hofmann Megaplan; height extensions are included as standard and conveniently housed on the lift column. Extra-wide vehicle drive-through access is also enabled. Lifting can be completed in 55 seconds, and lowering in 30 seconds. A fail-safe mechanical locking system is included.
Further elements highlighted include the configuration of the lifting arms, said to be key maximising diversity of application, and a ‘Convenience Pack’ which includes an electrical socket, compressed air supply, USB sockets and an inspection lamp.
A comprehensive five-year warranty is included, which includes an annual inspection and service from a factory-trained engineer.
The Luxus range is available in a range of colours, including yellow, grey and traditional Hofmann blue. Additional colours and customisation are available on request.
