Greenergy to drive decarbonisation in existing fleets
Waste-derived renewable fuel manufacturer and national fuel supplier Greenergy has committed to support customers in reducing carbon emissions from their existing fleets with low-carbon fuel solutions.
Strategically positioned to source, produce and supply renewable fuels, Greenergy says it can meet increasing demands and offer customers supply resilience through its established infrastructure and distribution network across the UK. Its offering includes a range of higher percentage biodiesel blends and biofuels for customers looking to reduce their carbon emissions immediately.
In 2022, a part of Greenergy’s in-house haulier, Greenergy Flexigrid (‘Flexigrid’) ran on the biodiesel blend B20. The trial aimed to demonstrate the impact of switching a commercial fleet from B7 to B20, and successfully showed immediate carbon savings with an annual average greenhouse gas emission improvement of 13 per cent compared to standard B7 diesel.
By operating is own fleet, Greenergy has firsthand experience in understanding fleet operators’ needs, the company says – meaning customers benefit from dealing with an established fuel supplier that understands how to deliver a
cost-effective reliable fuel solution, while also delivering carbon emission savings to support decarbonisation strategies.
“Greenergy’s unique supply chain, established distribution network and in-house haulage operations give us the flexibility to offer our customers renewable fuel solutions, that we have tested and know will support them on their journey to decarbonise without disrupting their day-to-day business,” said Caroline Lumbard, UK trading director at Greenergy.
