Esprit highlights benefits of in-house windscreen repair
Windscreen repair specialist Esprit has offered its perspective on the advantages of dealing with windscreen chips and cracks in-house.
“If you run a fleet of vehicles of whatever type, there are probably times when vehicles have had to be off the road because of a chipped or cracked windscreen,” said Esprit.
“This is frustrating; you have to wait for a repairer to come out, and pay for the windscreen to be fixed, or replaced.”
Esprit Windscreen Repair kits are said to offer a cost-effective means of managing windscreen repairs in-house.
“No more waiting for a repairer to visit you – the vehicle can be in and out of the garage in half an hour, and safely back on the road, making you money,” said Esprit.
The company says its range of kits: “all do the same great job, repairing windscreens to an independently tested performance standard of a new windscreen.
“The only differences in kits are based on how many repairs you think you’re likely to carry out – from the entry level kit to the Elite kit for the regular repairer.”
Training is available at Esprit’s Staffordshire site, or the company can send representatives to customers’ sites to train an individual or a group of people. Refresher training is also available for those with kits that haven’t been used in a while, or if the colleague that knew how to use them has left.
Esprit supplies numerous fleets, including coach companies, HGV groups, police forces and the military. The firm can despatch consumables the same day, to help ensure vehicles are back on the road quickly.
“Repairs pass the MOT and screens with ADAS or other head up technology can also be repaired – in fact it’s normally quicker and cheaper to repair than it is to replace and recalibrate the new screens with built in technology,” added Esprit.
The company manufactures its kits in Staffordshire, and has a dedicated UK sales team to talk to prospective customers about their individual needs. Meanwhile testimonials, a demo video and all training videos are available for free on the website.
