Reefer Trailer Centre celebrates three years of expansion
The Reefer Trailer Centre, which distributes Chereau and SOR Iberica refrigerated trailers in the UK, has reported a successful three years for its group of businesses – which also includes Pre Owned Trailers Ltd, Barker’s Finance and Barker’s Truck and Trailer – having achieved consistent growth while expanding its footprint.
“The past three years have also seen our new trailer sales division flourish,” said the company.
“We are proud to have sold over 1,300 new Chereau and SOR trailers within the last two years and also having recognised a strong demand for quality used retail equipment, the Reefer Trailer Centre has really helped to fill this gap in the market. With the enhanced level of new and late used trailer sales, we have then seen increased levels of older equipment become available via our part exchange programme.
“To manage this effectively we have launched Pre Owned Trailers Ltd. This new business has far exceeded all expectations with sales to date surpassing 1,000 trailers to both the domestic UK and the export market in just over a year. Our inventory has grown to meet this demand, with an expanded selection of trailers from top manufacturers that cater to a wide array of industries. So whilst we are a fridge trailer specialist, we are also now observing increased sales on skeletal, boxvan and curtainside trailers also. This area has seen us reach many new sectors and enjoy a spike in new customers dealing with our team.
“We have also observed that customer needs are evolving, efficiency and durability are becoming increasingly paramount. By keeping our finger on the pulse of technological advancements within the industry and offering tailored, innovative solutions, we’ve positioned ourselves as leaders in the trailer sales market. The company also highlights the inception and subsequent growth of its purpose-built workshop facility, which has evolved into a full-service hub offering everything from routine maintenance to comprehensive accident damage repair services.
