Integrated video and telemetry from ISS
Safety technology specialist ISS is launching a fleetwide live video recording, tracking and telemetry solution all rolled into one – the result of extensive research and testing, including field trials carried out by key industry partners.
The company has been responsible for a range of innovations in vehicle safety technology in recent years, including Cyclear, a cyclist safety warning detection system; the Reaclear reverse safety device; and most recently IDClear, which prevents vehicles from being stolen or rolling away whilst running idle.
Gavin Thoday, CEO at ISS, said of the new solution: “Our RXUltralite system provides real-time tracking and live video streaming, as well as driver data such as speed and braking information, incident alerts and fuel usage, all in one system and on one platform.
“It can be installed to different makes and models of vehicles, so it can be used across an entire fleet. This means operators don’t need to worry about managing multiple suppliers and different software systems.”
ISS says it has also gone a step further to help reduce the administrative burden on its customers by offering a Managed Service option, which provides real-time monitoring and health checks of all vehicle safety equipment, with automatic reporting and callouts to address any equipment defects, without the need for any customer intervention.
Gavin explained: “The service is there for customers who want to increase the efficiency of their operations, and get the most out of their safety equipment, without having to devote more resources.
“It’s time-consuming keeping up with the latest technology and new safety regulations especially with increasing pressure on fleets and budget limitations. Our managed service offers an efficient and cost-effective solution using trained professionals.”
He continued: “Our priority is to ease the burden on customers, so they don’t have to wade through different suppliers and software platforms, depending on what vehicles they have and where they are from.
“Vehicle operators want the latest camera technology, vehicle data and driver information, as well as the ability to check their equipment, and they want to see it all remotely and in real-time. With our fleetwide platform we can deliver all of this.”
