Powervamp adds value with battery start packs
Powervamp, a designer and manufacturer of heavy-duty battery jump start packs for the automotive industry for over 25 years, offers a range of solutions for commercial vehicle applications.
With large commercial vehicles operating from a 24V DC system, the most popular starter unit is the ultra-heavy duty, Nato 200 model, says the company.
“The Nato 200 is a 12/24V jump start pack, utilising two high discharge dry-cell batteries, contained within a powder coated steel case designed to withstand the most punishing commercial environments,” said Powervamp.
“Designed for the commercial / plant industry, these units are able to deliver massive cranking power for frequent engine starting, well as being ideal for maintenance operations such as fuel bleeding and oil pressure build-up.”
In recent years, the company says it has seen a marked increase in the amount of customers utilising the Nato 200 to raise and lower the intermediate decks on double deck freight trailers. The portability and compactness of the Nato 200 makes it ideal for this operation with multiple cycles made possible on a single charge, the firm adds.
For customers requiring a heavy duty 12/24V jump start pack for a service van, Powervamp offers the powerful Tower Pack.
“With its tough polyethylene case and small footprint, this unit is ideal to be carried on board where space can be a premium,” said the firm.
“The unit can be used for roadside recovery operators and can be recharged between jobs via its OBCK (on board charge kit).”
