Chevronshop marks out the road to sustainability
Chevronshop.com – the online vehicle markings provider – reports that it is putting sustainability at its core over the next 12 months to support the Net Zero ambitions of its customers.
As part of the Bluelite Group, the business has invested in renewable energy generation to reduce its carbon emissions, along with the use of low solvent inks, LED lighting and investment in electric vehicle service support.
Chevronshop.com was one of the first businesses in Britain to enable fleet managers to order essential high visibility markings and chevron kits direct online. It celebrated its 15th anniversary last year – a milestone currently being recognised with a £15 discount off any rear chevron kit ordered.
Since launch, Chevronshop.com has developed a portfolio of over 470 products to meet the vehicle livery and chevron markings needs of highway users and commercial fleets.
Specialist advisors are in place to advise on the use of prismatic and retroreflective materials in line with Chapter 8 recommendations for different vehicle types and environments to ensure that the correct ‘R’ rating is used.

In addition to its solar energy investment, Bluelite Group’s environmental achievements include repurposing material backing sheets for wrapping; shredding cardboard onsite for use in packaging, eliminating the use of fluted plastic; vacuum sealing packages to minimise materials and tapes; replacing single use plastic cups with China cups; and sharing materials offcuts with local schools to provide high visibility markings for bags and satchels.
In addition, the company compacts excess cardboard on site to reduce the number of recycling collections, has adopted electric vehicles for service support, and promotes the use of more environmentally friendly materials, having eliminated bubble wrap completely and invested in material nesting technology to minimise waste.
