Cartland takes Totalkare cable-free columns
Automotive repair expert Cartland Commercials has acquired two sets of cable-free mobile column lifts from workshop equipment specialist Totalkare to support its ongoing operations.
Southampton-based Cartland Commercials undertakes inspection, servicing and MOT work for HGVs, trailers, vans and cars, while also offering a commercial breakdown service and overnight truck parking close to Dock Gate 20 at Southampton Docks.
The T8DC cable-free mobile column lift is said to offer a versatile lifting solution for commercial vehicle workshops and can be synchronised in sets of four, six or eight, making it ideal for lifting an array of vehicles and sizes. Each column also has a safe working load of 7,500kg and features adjustable forks to suit a range of wheel diameters.
Steve Cropp, director at Cartland Commercials, said: “Cables running around the workspace and heavy-handed mechanics really don’t mix well together, so I’m looking forward to seeing the mobile column lifts improve the safety of our workshop.”
John Ray, area sales manager at Totalkare, explained: “With the flexibility and convenience of the mobile column lifts, this will help increase productivity and exceed customer expectations. The advantage of them being cable-free reduces trip hazards within a busy environment – a big plus for health and safety.”
