SCR solutions from Mann-Filter
Mann-Filter offers a selection of urea filters for leading Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems in trucks and buses, which are said to offer high filter fineness, tried-and-tested suitability for everyday use, and a long service life.
“They protect SCR system components against wear and failure and are resistant to frost and ammonia,” said Mann-Filter.
The company offers a comprehensive range in OE quality for SCR systems, which reduce nitrogen oxides in exhaust gases.
“They filter the urea-water solution (AdBlue) to remove contaminants and particles which measure just a few micrometres and are invisible to the naked eye, thus protecting the system against wear and failure,” Mann-Filter continued.
“The good news for the environment: the SCR system minimises NOx emissions over the entire lifetime of the vehicle. It also makes a significant contribution to ensuring that diesel engines in commercial vehicles fitted with SCR technology achieve emission values which fall significantly below the permitted thresholds and comply with the binding NOx limit values of the Euro VI exhaust standard.
“The filter guarantees the required purity of the urea-water solution (AdBlue) even if refilling has to take place under harsh everyday conditions in the yard or on the road.”
Mann-Filter supplies the urea filter in kit form, including a compensating element which is resistant to the urea solution. This filter reduces the free volume in the housing and absorbs compressive forces when the AdBlue expands at sub-zero temperatures. The flexible compensating element thus prevents damage to the system and the filter.
“To keep commercial vehicles running reliably and efficiently over a long period, urea filters should be changed regularly at the intervals specified by the vehicle manufacturer,” advised Mann-Filter.
“This also protects the SCR system from potential failure.”
