TGL’s Rymec clutch kit range
Manufacturer TGL offers a comprehensive portfolio of over 250 Commercial Vehicle Clutch Kits from 260mm to 430mm via its Rymec brand.
The range covers all popular European vehicle manufacturers, says the company, as well as offering popular Japanese applications including Isuzu and Mitsubishi Fuso. Complementing the Clutch Kit range, Rymec also offers individual components, including hydraulic and pneumatic slave cylinders.
Rymec is a matching quality clutch brand, developed by TGL, a global manufacturer of original equipment (OE) quality clutches which has been supplying the global aftermarket since 1982.
“All Rymec Clutch Kits are manufactured from 100 per cent new components and assembled in our UK facility,” said Dave Randle, TGL sales director.
“Rymec engineers are obsessed about detail and perfection and follow an extensive testing procedure to ensure all CV clutches meet the specifications and tolerances required to match OE performance and characteristics.
“For example, with regards to the cover assembly, Rymec’s diaphragm springs are heat treated to ensure the correct tensile strength is maintained under extreme load throughout its lifetime. The pressure plate is made from cast iron for its good thermal properties which gives a prolonged service life.
“Key performance characteristics of the cover assembly are then mapped against the OE performance characteristics to ensure Rymec’s cover assembly performs to original equipment specification.
“Other tests carried out in-house using specialised test machinery include bearing load, bearing travel, clamp load and driven plate run- out, all necessary to ensure the product’s integrity.”
Sometimes there may be design differences between Rymec and other clutch manufacturers, says Dave: “The most obvious differences might be in the cover pressing design where different methods of manufacture have been used.
“Despite these differences, customers can be confident Rymec have specified the right part for the right application and where the differences are obvious, a technical bulletin is included in the box, to reassure customers that it is the correct clutch for the application.
“The Rymec range is constantly evolving to meet customer requirements and targets vehicles aged from five to over 20 years. Tested to OE specification… a comprehensive ‘no quibble’ three-year/300,000-mile warranty means that you can trust the Rymec name and its performance during its lifetime.”
