Majorlift helps workshops raise their game
Hydraulic lifting equipment manufacturer Majorlift has been operating for almost 30 years at its Gloucestershire factory, with 95 per cent of all products manufactured in-house.
“Safety is achieved within the design; a large number of devices are always incorporated as standard in all products to ensure that operators remain protected while in use,” said Majorlift.
Backup and support is key to every piece of equipment, says the firm. It emphasises the importance of supporting equipment throughout its life, and offers a wide range of spares as well as an experienced team to ensure longevity of performance.
The core product is the pit and lift jack, which is installed in workshops across the country and is available in either manual or air over hydraulic versions, with a lifting capacity of 8 to 40 tonnes. A number of accessories are also available, one of which enhances its use and enables the servicing and testing of light vans and cars.
Also available is the Majorlift transmission jack.
“As gearboxes becomes larger and heavier you need something that can handle the task,” said the company.
“Majorlift manufacture both one- and two-tonne capacities, in manual or air over hydraulic, and a number of designs to suit each individual workshop.
“The most popular vertical design comes in two versions – one to be used under a lift or column, and the other in a pit.”
In addition Majorlift produces two other models: one to run along the pit walls like a pit jack, and another to run along the pit floor. For added safety a comprehensive range of lifting attachments are available for all transmission jacks.
With hub and brake caliper removal presenting a regular problem for workshops, Majorlift’s solution, the caliper and hub removal tool, can help make the task safer and easier, the company says.
“Majorlift have developed their extensive product range by listening to customers, and with their experienced design team quite regularly produce bespoke products for individual requirements,” said the firm.
Majorlift is also UK distributor for the range of garage equipment produced by Danish company Compac.
